Margaret Matijevich (Pauchnik)
Margaret Matijevich, 96 of Burgettstown, died Thursday, September 21, 2017 in the Washington County Health Center.
She was born May 7, 1921 in Atlasburg, a daughter of the late Michael and Francis Erzen Pauchnik.
Mrs. Matijevich was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Burgettstown and its Christian Mothers. She enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting and doing crafts.
On April 22, 1947, she married Dan Matijevich, who died on January 19, 2000.
Surviving are her children, Mary Margaret (Gerald) Gavazzi of Burgettstown, James (Nancy) Matijevich of Burgettstown, Rita (David) Cecchini of Avella, Francis Vladich of Georgetown, Daniel (Tina) Matijevich of Weirton, WV, and David Matijevich of Burgettstown, her grandchildren, Marsha Gavazzi Cipollone, Jimmy (Jennifer) Matijevich, Bryan (Elena) Matijevich, Todd (Erin) Matijevich, Bernadette (Craig) Saylor, David (Melissa) Cecchini, Eric (Ameera) Vladich, Brianna (Eddie) Glover, Danielle (Rob) Byrnes, Phillip (Megan) Matijevich, Jordan Matijevich, Derek Matijevich, Jessica Matijevich,, Josh Matijevich, and Cayla (Brandon) Huval, and 16 Great-grandchildren.
Deceased in addition to her husband are two grandchildren, Nicole Vladich and Erin Cecchini, her brothers, Thomas, Joseph, and John Pauchnik, and her sisters, Ann Lounder, Victoria Steiminger, Mary Dvorsak, Theresa Pauchnik, and Francis Seltzer.
Friends will be received from 2-8 PM Sunday, September 24, 2017 in the Taucher Funeral Home, 23 Erie Mine Road, Burgettstown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 25 in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Burgettstown with the Rev. George Moneck as celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
