Mary Figura Allison, 94 of Bulger, died of age related illness on Monday, February 05, 2018 in Washington.
Mrs. Allison was born in Erie Mine on May 2, 1923, a daughter of the late John and Mary Sentipal Figura and was a lifelong resident of the area. She married Stanley Allison on November 22, 1945 and they moved to Bulger where Mary remained a lifelong resident. She loved to garden, can, and cook. As a child of the Depression, she taught all her children the value of hard work, saving, and not wasting anything. Her family and friends will always remember she had a heart that was as big as the great outdoors and no one left her house hungry or without some care package of homemade jelly, cabbage rolls, or homemade pierogis with homemade cheese.
Mrs. Allison was a member of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church in Bulger, where she taught CCD, was an avid volunteer for years, helping with the church fundraising activities.
She is survived by her six children, Edward (Sharon) Allison, Steven (Arlene) Allison, Cynthia (Don Greer) Michelucci, Nancy (Mark) Petrel, David (Rose) Allison, and Robert (Judy) Allison, her grandchildren, Eddie Allison, Christopher Allison, Lauri Alt, Jennifer (Josh) Whitford, Lisa (Chris) Litchfield, Steven (Priscilla) Allison, Joseph (Gemma) Michelucci, Robert Michelucci, Michael (Katie Fehl) Michelucci, Jimmy (Lori) Petrel, Jamie (Jim) Petrel, Jenna (Joe) Denton, Jessica (Craig) Chamberlain, Joshua (Rohini) Allison, Jacob (Tara) Allison, and Daniel Allison, Andy (Stephanie) Allison, Amy (Greg) Coleman, and Jonathon (Becca) Allison, Great-grandchildren, Erica, Levi, Mason, Beau, Ace, Allysa, Matthew, Jett, Jaylee, Emerson, Adriana, Chrissy,
Alexandra, Mea, Antonio, Aidriana, Alexandria, Amelia, Corbin, Trista, Cadence, Kylena, Sabrina, James, Cora, Adeline, Broderick, Terrance, Kylie, Avery, and Connor, and one great-great-grandson Terry Lee, all of whom she was tremendously proud. Also surviving is her sister, Elizabeth Budash of Upper St. Clair.
Deceased are her husband, Stanley, who died on October 16, 1981 and her siblings, Pete Roman, Johnny Figura, Mary Ann Figura, and Annie Meccanic and her son-in-law, Frank Michelucci.
Friends will be received from 2-8 pm Thursday, February 8, 2018 in the Taucher Funeral Home, 23 Erie Mine Road, Burgettstown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Friday in St. Ann’s Church, Bulger, with the Rev. George Chortos as celebrant. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Burgettstown.
